Back at the end of November, I picked up this Scrappy Spiral Notebook along with the one I’m using for One Little Word. Ever since, I’ve been itching to dive in and do something—anything—with it.
The problem? I wasn’t sure where to start or what direction to take. The blank pages felt full of possibilities but also a little overwhelming. Sometimes, it takes a bit of brainstorming (and patience) to figure out the perfect way to begin!
I am so happy to share with you what, and how I will be using this notebook this year. Let me dive into setting this up, and doing my first project in this notebook today.
After some thought, I’ve decided how I’ll be using this Scrappy Spiral Notebook, and I’m so excited to share!
The first project will be our Monthly Photo Challenge here in the community—this notebook will be the perfect place to document and reflect on each month’s prompts and photos.
The second project is a Day-in-the-Life style project that I’ll be doing on the 25th of each month. Capturing those everyday moments feels so meaningful, and I can’t wait to see how it all comes together in this space.
I love having a plan for this notebook, and I’m ready to dive in!
Starting these two projects will take some time to find my rhythm. It’s going to be a few months before I really get a feel for how I want to approach them, and that’s okay.
I’m reminding myself to have grace and let go of the pressure for everything to be perfect. Creativity is a journey, and I’m embracing the process—messy moments and all. Here’s to exploring, experimenting, and enjoying the ride!
This first page is a great reminder of how important it is to stay flexible. When I started, I thought my journaling would fit perfectly under the photo—but that definitely wasn’t the case!
I ended up needing to carry the journaling over to the second page, which left me figuring out how to finish the first page in a way that felt cohesive. It wasn’t what I planned, but I love how it pushed me to get creative and let the process unfold naturally. Sometimes, going with the flow leads to the best results!
This is a project that I am truly looking forward to. I’m finding it exciting to try out different ways of creating memory-keeping pages. It is also diving into my stash of beautiful memory-keeping products and finally using them.
