During the school year, each of the kids has a box, and we stick everything that comes how during that school year into these boxes.
These TJENA boxes are stored in my office on this Kallax Shelf Cube Unit I got from Ikea.
Every summer I tackle each box to decide what we want to keep, get rid of, and what will end up going into their Project Life Album.
Once I dive into the process it doesn’t take long to sort through everything.
For Kayla’s items, I let her be a part of the process. She picks out the items she wants me to take photos of, and the items that she is okay with getting rid of.
I did two LIVE videos over on the Facebook page HERE. Please note that I am currently looking into a better way to film these lives videos that I do.
I understand that the video camera shaking so much is annoying!
Part 1 – Diving Into The Boxes
SCANNING / TAKING PHOTOS
You can do either or you can do both. In the past I have only taken photos and then used the Project Life App.
This last year I decided to use a scanner for a few of the items.
I’m using the Canon TS6020 Printer. I love everything about this printer. I have been super happy with printing photos on it, as well as using it as my everyday printer.
Part 2 – Using the Project Life App
In this video, I walk you through using the Project Life App to drop in all the photos, and scans I have taken.
Kayla’s Project Life Pages
Whenever I am using the Project Life App to create the page I try to keep in mind how things are going to look once they are in the album.
I started with a Design G. I will cut down a 12×12 page protector, or place it on 12×12 cardstock.
Violet’s Project Life Pages
I will repeat this same process for Andrew’s Items.
Andrew’s box will be a little harder to sort out because he was in Pre-School basically everything that came home was some kind of “project”.
Next, I will be sharing with you how all the items end up going into each of the kid’s albums.
I’m realizing that I have a ton of work to do in each of the kid’s albums. Just minor details that I need to get focused on, and get finished.
